Celebrity chef Cat CoraCelebrity chef Cat Cora.

Cat Cora claim to fame was in 2005 when she made television history on Food Network’s Iron Chef America as the first and only female Iron Chef. But, Cat Cora is far more than a celebrity chef. Her work extends beyond the kitchen and into disaster zones where she provides hunger relief for the communities struck by natural disasters.

In 2004, Chef Cora launched Chefs for Humanity with the intent of bringing together the culinary and the humanitarian relief communities in the aftermath of the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami.
Since Chefs for Humanity’s launch, the organization has distributed food aid and launched nutrition education programs in places like Haiti, Mississippi, New Orleans, and Honduras. The Chefs for Humanity team motto is: “If anyone can beat, whip, crush, dash, mash, flambé, and shred hunger…we can.”
Chef Cat Cora joins Full Frame’s Mike Walter to discuss how she’s using her culinary skills to fight hunger on a global scale.
