First American Ebola patient arrives at Atlanta hospital for treatment

For the first time tonight a patient known to be infected with the deadly Ebola virus is on U.S soil.

Dr. Kent Brantley was infected while treating patients during a mission trip to Africa one of his assistants is also battling the virus..

A plane specially converted for his transfer from Africa landed at dobbins air reserve base just before noon from their doctor Brantley was quickly transferred to a waiting ambulance and rushed to Emory hospital one of 4 facilities in the country with the ability to treat an Ebola patient.

Though some have questioned bringing that deadly fight to U.S. soil help they will extend to a second American battling the virus the plane that delivered Brantley left Atlanta and will return in the next few days this time carrying missionary Nancy writebol.
