Work continues as Gaza cease-fire holds

The 72-hour truce agreed to on Tuesday after four weeks of conflict is still holding. Egypt is trying to secure a week-long extension. CCTV's Adel El Mahrouky reports.

The four week conflict has claimed more than 1900 lives. Palestinians say most of them are civilians.

Now, it is the third round of truce talks for Gaza, and after three Israeli offensives in recent years, the Palestinian delegates hope this round will be different. They include negotiators from Hamas, which controls Gaza, members of the Palestinian Authority, and Fatah.

The Palestinians have presented several demands for a durable cease-fire, including the lifting of an Israeli siege imposed on Gaza since 2006.
