Neither the multi-barrel rockets nor the mortars hit any substantial government target, but three civilians were killed and 14 others wounded since the new barrage began.

From this military airbase near Damascus, fighter jets soar toward rebel targets near Damascus and central Syria. The base itself is a prime target of the rebels.

Crippling Syria’s air force would be a huge victory for the rebels and rob the government of one of its main tactical advantages.
