Chinese medical teams aid Ebola-stricken countries

World Today

Three medical teams from China have arrived in Liberia with Ebola-related medical equipment as the country placed a third province under quarantine.

With only one Ebola clinic operating in the midst of the outbreak, patients from Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea are rapidly filling up the space.

As of August 6, the death toll reached 961 and the infection rate in Liberia was still increasing.

More healthcare staff is desperately needed in Liberia, and the Chinese disease-control experts will likely make a significant difference.
