Eurozone economy fails to grow in second quarter

GDP figures for the Eurozone show that Germany and France, two of its biggest economies, have performed poorly during the second quarter of this year.

Germany, widely seen as Europe’s economic powerhouse, shrank by 0.2 percent. The fresh data adds to fears the Eurozone will see a prolonged period of weak growth, following a shaky recovery from a debt crisis. Jack Parrock reports.
