Mexico’s government says keeping wages down helps attract investors and it keeps inflation in check.

However, the country is under increasing pressure to up worker pay. As the country heads for mid-term elections next year, Mexico’s minimum wage remains among the lowest in the world. It’s clear the six and a half million Mexican workers earning that amount are hoping that will change.
