One year after chemical weapons attack, Syria remains volatile

It has been one year since a chemical attack in Syria killed more than 1,000 people. This attack prompted international outrage and threats of military intervention, and an eventual deal to disarm Damascus. One year later, with the chemical weapons relinquished, the Syria conflict remains volatile, and the humanitarian crisis has intensified.
