Ahead of a major NATO meeting in the UK, tensions between Russia and the West have reached new heights.

Large areas of the Welsh principality are in lockdown ahead of this NATO summit. A ring of steel fence was erected ahead of the arrival of some 60 heads of state and government and their vast entourages.

In terms of numbers, this is the biggest NATO summit in the organization’s history. To protect participants, 1,500 police officers have been brought in from across the U.K.
