In Northeast China, a police manhunt turned up two fugitives who escaped from a prison. The search for a third prisoner continues. CCTV America’s Li Nan reports.

It was a massive manhunt round the clock for Wang Damin after he and two other inmates made their escape from Yanshou County prison. Finally at around 1 a.m. local time Thursday morning, Wang appeared at a local village, tired, hungry and begging for food. Taking no chances, villagers rounded up Wang and turned him into police custody. Five hours before, his accomplice Li Haiwei was captured in a town near his point of escape.

It was the local villages who sensed something was amiss. Local police receiving a tip-off from villagers then quickly rushed to the location. The last one of the three fugitives, Gao Yulun, is still at large.

Police are still on the hunt for this man. They had carefully combed the area around the prison for any traces. Helicopters were also deployed ensuring no stone is unturned. Early on Tuesday morning the three inmates killed a guard, and escaped from the detention center dressed in stolen police jackets and shirts.
