BP ruling could mean billions more in fines

A U.S. federal judge has ruled that oil giant BP was “grossly negligent” and bears most of the responsibility for the 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The ruling could expose the British-based company to billions more dollars in fines.

When the Deep Water Horizon drilling rig blew up, 11 were killed and millions of barrels of oil poured into the Gulf of Mexico for 87 days. CCTV’s Nathan King reports with the latest.
