Arab nations are mobilizing against the threat of the Islamic State. The announcement came following a meeting of the Arab League in Cairo at the weekend. However, analysts say they need to be prepared for a lengthy battle. CCTV’s Adel EL Mahrouki reports from Cairo.

Egypt’s Ansar Bayit al Maqdis is notorious for targeting security and government forces. The militant group now claims some of its fighters have been trained by the Islamic State.

It appears more Islamist groups have been showing their support for ISIS, and that’s prompted the Arab League to address the threat.

ISIS tactics are notoriously brutal, and that led to several militant groups voicing their support for the group. It means ISIS now essentially has access to areas beyond the territories it holds in Iraq and Syria.
