At least 200 dead from flooding in Kashmir

Floods have caused havoc in Indian Kashmir. Nearly 200 people lost their lives and hundreds of thousands of people remain stranded across the region. CCTV-America’s Shweta Bajaj has more.

Indian Air Force helicopters continued rescue efforts on Wednesday to evacuate people stranded in flooded areas in Kashmir. Thousands awaited rescue from the worst flooding the region has seen in over a century.The flooding began earlier this month, causing landslides and submerging much of the main city of Srinagar. From the air, Srinagar looked like a giant lake, with row after row of rooftops peeking out of the murky water.
