Kerry to boost Arab support to combat Islamic State

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is in Saudi Arabia in an effort to drum up more international support to combat the threat from the Islamic State.

CCTV America’s Sean Callebs reports.

Saudi leaders have agreed to establish and host training sites. This would allow the U.S. and others to work with Syria’s moderate Sunni rebels who are fighting IS and to battle the Assad government. However, Kerry is adamant that this is not, and will not, be a U.S. war with IS.

Middle East Gulf Coast states are being asked to step up their rhetoric against IS through government controlled media and speaking out against extremism. It’s a way to show a unified regional fight against the terrorist group, rather than paint a picture of just the U.S. versus radical Islam.
