The world is reacting strongly to the verdict and the possible sentence for Olympic star Oscar Pistorius. He was convicted of culpable homicide in the shooting death of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, but he avoided the more serious charge of premeditated murder. CCTV America’s Guy Henderson reports.

Before Oscar Pistorius was found guilty of culpable homicide, he was a celebrated as hero and for his ability as an athlete. CCTV Americas’s Dan Williams reports on the rise and fall of the man known across the globe as “blade runner”.

The murder trial lasted six months and the case stretched for nearly two years. Pistorius faces anywhere from just a fine, to house arrest or a prison sentence of up to 15 years. A judge will reveal his fate in a month.
