The world’s two most populous nations inked 16 agreements Thursday after Chinese President Xi Jinping and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi met for talks that lasted for over an hour. CCTV America’s Shweta Bajaj reports.

A full honor guard marked the start of the second day of bilateral talks between Xi Jinping and Narendra Modi where the discussion covered a wide range of issues, including a pledge by China to invest $20 billion in Indian infrastructure over the next five years.

The infrastructure projects will include an upgrade of India’s ailing railway system and the creation of two Chinese industrial parks in India. China will also have more access to India-made goods, including pharmaceutical products.

In a significant move, the meeting also included plans to start talks on civil nuclear cooperation.
