Educators try unconventional teaching methods for Syrian refugees

The United Nations said that education is a fundamental human right and essential for the exercise of all other human rights. However many have limited access to that right, particularly the world’s more than 50 million displaced people. CCTV’s Natalie Carney reports on how one man teaching some of Jordan’s Syrian refugees.

Most Syrian refugee children are behind a couple of years in school. The Kingdom of Jordan has struggled to facilitate proper education for the unexpected surge in its refugee population, which now reaches almost 3 million people, predominantly of Syrian and Palestinian origin.
