Runoff between Rousseff and Neves is set for October

Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff will face center-right candidate Aecio Neves in a second round of the country’s elections later this month. The final result of Sunday’s vote was 42 percent for Rousseff and 34 percent for Neves. Environmentalist Marina Silva, who earlier had been a favorite to win the presidency, received just 21 percent of the vote and is now out of the contest.
