Turkey considers military response to ISIL offensive

Islamic State militants backed by tanks and artillery pushed into the Kurdish Syrian town of Kobani late Monday.

The strategic town sits close to the Turkish border where clashes erupted over the weekend between Turkish security forces and Kurds upset with the slow response of the Turkish government to IS advancements.

The Turkish parliament voted overwhelmingly to allow its army to cross its borders with Syria and Iraq, but there are still many factors Ankara must consider before enacting any military response. CCTV America’s Natalie Carney reports from Istanbul.
