How to tell the IMF and World Bank apart

On Wednesday, there were 17 different meetings, sessions, and forums at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank meetings currently being held in Washington D.C. But how easy is it to tell these two bodies apart? CCTV America’s Owen Fairclough reports.

Essentially, IMF keeps the global financial system running. Meanwhile, the World Bank is more concerned with helping to develop poorer countries. They are both huge institutions and even John Maynard Keynes, one of the world’s most famous economists, admits he has gotten them mixed up.

Both organizations agree their work can be confusing to many. However, they are say they help to gain access and hosting bilateral meetings with ministers of finance and other leaders.
