Peruvian Foreign Minister Gonzalo Gutierrez came to Washington in October, where he met with U.S Secretary of State John Kerry, to discuss a variety of issues including climate change and drug trafficking.

Minister Gutierrez, who among other posts was previously an Ambassador to China, sat with Elaine Reyes for an interview about Peru’s efforts to host the United Nations Climate Change Summit, the Mexican cartel’s recent foothold in his country, the initiatives to legalize or decriminalize marijuana and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting.
