The cross-border trading programmer, widely-anticipated to go online with Shanghai on October 27th, did not take place. Hong Kong brokers, now think the scheme will be delayed to next month. CCTV’s Cathy Yang reports.

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing head Charles Li earlier insisted there is no timetable for the launch. Though a Hong Kong government source had earlier told local media the scheme could be launched on October 27th.

Some Asian banks and investors are now asking regulators for one month’s notice before the start of the scheme, leaving open to debate the Stock Connect scheme’s actual launch date.
