Experts believe Islamic State responsible for Egypt attacks

World Today

In Egypt, anti-terror experts fear the Islamic State may have played a part in last week’s twin terror strike in the Sinai. More than 30 soldiers were killed in the two attacks, making it the deadliest in years. CCTV America’s Adel El Mahrouky reports.

The Egyptian government has promised a tough response, but the lack of information about the Islamic State’s influence poses a major obstacle.

A state of emergency has already been imposed in the North Sinai following Friday’s attack, but more extreme measures are expected.
