Palestinian driver shot dead after ramming Israeli pedestrians and killing one

A Palestinian driver went on a rampage Thursday, ramming Israeli pedestrians, killing one person, and wounding at least half a dozen before Israeli boarder police shot him dead. The incident follows Palestinian-Israeli clashes at Al-Aqsa mosque as right-wing Jews attempted to enter the mosque compound. CCTV America’s Stephanie Freid reported this story.

The Hamas-affiliated operative plowed into pedestrians waiting for Jerusalem’s train. It’s the second such attack in a month, when a three-month-old was killed two weeks ago by a Palestinian motorist with a history of anti-Israel violence.

The incident followed a day of clashes at Jerusalem’s Al Aqsa mosque between stone throwing Palestinians and armed Israeli security. Palestinians are incensed over attempts by Jewish activists to enter the mosque, Islam’s third holiest site.

“The Muslims are trying to rule the world. They’re not interested in having anyone else pray to their God. They only want Muslim. And we’re not going to allow that. This is the Jewish State, this is the holiest sight to the Jewish people and we will pray here,” one right-wing Jewish activist said.

Palestinians protested the limited Muslim access to the mosque and ongoing punitive measures. Many threw stones at Israeli forces who responded with stun grenade fire, and according to some reports, sponge-coated rubber bullets. At least one Palestinian was seriously wounded.

Palestinians accuse Israel of breaching the law by attempting to Judaize all of Jerusalem.
