Retail expert Burt Flickinger discusses holiday shopping season

According to the National Retailers Federation, U.S. shoppers will spend an average of $804 on gifts this season, which is 5 percent higher than last year. The International Council of Shopping Centers has also projected that U.S. sales during the holiday shopping season will increase 4 percent, which would be the strongest growth in three years.

CCTV America’s Michelle Makori spoke to Burt Flickinger, managing director of the retail consulting firm Strategic Resource Group, about the outlook for the holiday shopping season and how lower gas price could affect sales.
