Fifty days after the Occupy Central movement began in Hong Kong, officials have begun to remove barricades as they enforce the first of several court injunctions. CCTV America’s Wu Lei reported this story from Hong Kong.

While the High Court ordered injunctions at all protest sites, court officials cleared out the barriers outside CITIC Towers in the Admiralty neighborhood, the site of one of the largest protests. They also told protestors at Lung Wui Road to gather their belongings and leave the area so that they could clear the barricades there.

During the next few days they are expected to clear other barriers in Admiralty, however the schedule to clear out the Mong Kok protest site has yet to be decided.

Dozens of police officers are standing to enforce the injunction, and are authorized to remove or arrest any one who tries to obstruct the operation. Those who violate the injunction could face contempt of court charges.

Some student demonstrators are still occupying major roads and many say they will stay until the last possible moment.
