Haleh Esfandiari of Woodrow Wilson Center discusses Iran nuclear talks

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Tuesday that western powers failed to bring his country “to its knees” over talks about Iran’s nuclear program. After more than a year of negotiations, Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia, and the United States failed to finalize a deal on Iran’s disputed nuclear program.

The parties agreed to extend the deadline seven months, to June 30, 2015 and give negotiators up to four months to agree on a framework, and another three months to work out the details so an accord can be signed.

CCTV America interviewed Haleh Esfandiari, the director of the Middle East Program at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars about the Iranian nuclear talks.
