On Tuesday morning, armed gunmen stormed a military school in Peshawar, killing at least 141 – most of them children.

The Pakistani Taliban, Tehreek-e-Taliban, claimed responsibility for the attack on the school in northwestern Pakistan. As many as seven gunmen dressed in army uniforms with suicide vests reportedly scaled a wall before entering the military-run school. Once inside, the attackers went from classroom to classroom, shooting students and their teachers and setting off explosives.

The attack in Pershawar was called the worst in Pakistan’s history. More than 132 children and at least nine adults were killed.

CCTV America’s Jim Spellman reported the latest developments from the CCTV America newsroom.
