The world’s biggest electronics show will begin in Las Vegas on Jan. 8th-9th. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) brings together some of the biggest names in technology all under one roof. CCTV America’s Mark Niu previews from Las Vegas.

In total there are more than 3,600 exhibitors in what has been confirmed as CES’s largest show ever, including massive display booths of companies like Sony, Samsung, GoPro, LG, Ford, Toyota, Qualcomm, ZTE and Huawei.

One of the hottest technologies that continues to grab the spotlight were drones.

The cameras were clicking as Shenzhen-based DJI unveiled the Inspire 1. The drone has a 4K resolution camera that rotates 360 degrees, and for better control, it even has two controllers, one to steer the drone, and the other to steer the camera.

Other areas where the competition is especially fierce include 3D printers, biometric wearables, and all-in-one home security solutions.

CES used to be all about the big companies, but this year startups are receiving their own section, called Eureka Park.

Three-hundred-fifty startups are getting ready to display their products, proving they’re becoming just as important as the big guys.

“We need the startups, because they have great ideas, but we also need the big companies. I don’t think there is a battle between them. I think there is plenty of opportunity given the rapid pace of innovation. The consumers desire to buy these products and have their lives made better by these products. So I think there’s plenty of room for everybody,” Gary Shapiro, the founder of TECHnalysis Research, said.
