It takes a lot to help a small business in the United States take root, such as hard work, contacts, money and a little luck. A rural Mississippi company called Battle Bells is making a name for itself by turning out a quality cowbell. As CCTV America's Sean Callebs reported from West Point, Mississippi, Battle Bells' future looks as solid as the stainless steel used to make them.

Sometimes, it just takes that spark for a new idea to develop into a successful small business, such is the case with Battle Bells, a Mississippi company that turns out hand-crafted, stainless steel, cowbells that come with a lifetime guarantee.

“It is working out great. It has grown at a rate that we can barely keep up with,” John Howell from Battle Bell Cowbells said.

Howell and his partner started Battle Bells with less than $3,000. This year, they sold 1,000 cowbells at about $150 each. So the goal is to keep ringing up sales, grow the company and give back to the community.
