Some of the most anticipated include ride-sharing service Uber, valued at $40 billion. The company is said to be generating about $2 billion in net revenue a year.

Burger chain Shake Shack also announced it will go public. It is said to have tapped bankers with an eye on a $1 billion valuation.

Cloud storage start-up Box will go public Friday with a valuation of $1.6 billion. Its competitor Dropbox is likely to float its shares with a valuation of $10 billion.
