The 3rd U.S.-China Outstanding Contribution Awards Ceremony was held in Shanghai Feb. 7 to shine a spotlight on those who have made significant contributions to bilateral relations between China and the United States.

Alibaba founder Jack Ma and the former NBA superstar Yao Ming were among the recipients, which also included former U.S. National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzeziński, the founder of an orphanage, and sculptor Pan He.

The every-other-year award ceremony is organized by the U.S.- China Business Association. Established in 2010, the organizers hope the awards will continue to boost the contribution as well as the promotion of a deeper bilateral relationship.
