With a marked difference in the way Iran, the U.S. and negotiating partners for the U.S. view the way the nuclear talks are going. The U.S. President says it all comes down to trust.

The German foreign minister at the talks, Frank Walter Steinmeier, said the conversation is the best it has been in a long time.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said leaders are “working away…productively.”

It was a marked difference from the comment offered up by Iran’s Foreign Minister, Jawad Zarif who said that U.S. President Obama’s proposal for a 10-year freeze on sensitive nuclear research was “unacceptable”.

The U.S. and its negotiating partners China, Germany, France, Russia and Britain want a verifiable system for stopping Iran building nuclear weapons. It’s something that Iran can’t seem to accept.

But German representative Steinmeier stayed optimistic saying, “I would even go so far as to say that in 10 years of negotiations, we never achieved as much progress as we have made this year”.
