It aims to showcase the best ideas and products Britain has to offer and build new bridges between creative industries on both sides.

Prince William was on a tight schedule.

After a busy day in Beijing, he flew into Shanghai on Monday evening, showing no sign of tiredness.

The Prince went straight to open the Great Festival of Creativity, Britain’s big push to sell its creative industries to China.

Then, after meeting official representatives, he gave a greeting in Chinese.

Prince William was in Shanghai to spearhead a campaign promoting Britain’s creative industry.

Over 500 British companies attended the three-day event. The prince said the UK wants to increase cooperation with China.

China’s huge market and great potential for technological innovation are key attractions for British companies.

The chief executive of UK trade & investment, Dominic Jermey, said the festival is much bigger than similar events held in other countries.
