China now world’s second highest in obese people

Ask just about any public health expert and they will say obesity is a problem that usually begins in childhood and new research is hammering home just how early in life heart health is affected by poor eating habits. CCTV America’s Jim Spellman has more.

Highlights:

  • A recent study in the medical journal The Lancet said 23 percent of Chinese boys under the age of 20 are obese, as are 14 percent of girls.
