Landmines killed or injured more than 11,000 in Colombia. The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia rebels say they will help clear landmines, but not before a ceasefire is signed with the government. CCTV’s Michelle Begue filed this report from Medellin.

The most recent year for which landmine statistics are available is 2012. In that year, eight countries had more than 100 landmine casualties. One person who knows this all too well is Megan Burke, the executive director of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines. CCTV America interviewed her.
