Highlights:

  • A 2014 survey by World Cities Culture Forum shows the Argentine capital has more books stores per person than any other city in the world and it is not just the quantity. The Ateneo is a tourist attraction in itself, an old theater, now one the most stunning book stores in the world.
  • It is as much a cultural question as it is an economic one. Because while according to UNESCO, Argentina may have one of the highest literacy rates in the region, access to technology and does not yet match that.
