Forbes magazine says women are buying more than half of all the new cars in the United States

The same report also says they are making over 80 percent of all the car buying decisions.

Luxury car makers like Maserati and Porsche are turning their marketing focus towards women.

Last year, Maserati unveiled the Ghibli, a sports sedan retailing around 75-thousand dollars targeted towards professional women and upper middle class mothers.
