Highlights:

• Iran’s President, Hassan Rouhani, a moderate, is working to convince hardliners in his military and government drawing attention to support given by Ayatollah Khamenei.
• Rouhani said, “All sanctions: economic, financial and banking during day of implementation will be suspended.”
• For US President Obama and the White House, the challenge comes in convincing a skeptical US Congress led by his opposing party, the Republicans.
• US President Obama said, “If Congress kills this deal, not based on expert analysis and without offering any reasonable alternative, then it’s the United States that will be blamed for the failure of diplomacy. International unity will collapse, and the path to conflict will widen.”
