Thailand’s military junta totally controls government

World Today

The Prime Minister of Thailand announced martial law has been lifted. The military has been under pressure from the international community to lift the imposition and return Thailand to a democratic government, but in its place is something called “Clause 44”. It gives the military junta complete control over the administrative, executive and judicial branches of the government, in effect making them more powerful than they already were. CCTV’s Tony Cheng filed this report from Bangkok.
