Kuwait grapples with external and homegrown threats from ISIL

The small Arabian Gulf state of Kuwait has tightened security following the rise of ISIL in the region. Gains by the extremist group in neighboring Iraq as well as the discovery that “jihadi John” was born in the country has heightened concerns both inside and outside the country.
