Ride sharing companies now targeting children

Global Business

Ride sharing companies have made a huge impact on the transportation market, but most of them target the adult market. So now some companies are trying to break into the business of driving around kids. CCTV’s Mark Niu filed this report from Mountain View, California.

Highlights:

  • The new service Shuddle, which allows parents to book their children’s rides through an app.
  • Mission Control for Boost is a tech-driven van service that’s preparing its two-person pickup team, a certified professional driver and a childcare worker called a concierge.
  • Boost also has plans to launch private taxis for kids who need more immediate service, while Shuddle is also looking to serve group riders with different drop off points. Right now, both services only operate in the San Francisco Bay Area.
