A young man on Brazil’s national archery team is getting some extra attention as that country gears up for the 2016 Olympics. He’s hoping to make the elite team. He would be the first ever indigenous athlete to wear Brazil’s flag for the competition. As CCTV’s Lucrecia Franco reported from Rio de Janeiro, the young athlete used to target river fish, now Dream Braga or Iagoara (his native name which means bush dog), is aiming at an archery board with the Olympic games in sight.

• Eighteen-year-old Dream grew up in the heart of the Amazon Forest.
• He belongs to the Cambeba tribe and was selected to be part of the Brazilian national archery team last year for his remarkable skills.
• It is both a cultural and a sporting challenge for Dream. The Olympic bow her uses is much heavier and more sophisticated than the wooden bow he used for fishing.
