The leaders of the 10 countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations met in Kuala Lumpur on Monday for their 26th summit. ASEAN is looking to create a unified economic community by the end of the year, and while they are progressing toward that goal and found common ground on many other issues, divisions on other subjects were clearly kept behind closed doors.
