Officials in Colombia have voted to stop the spraying of glyphosate in their war against drugs. Glyphosate is the active ingredient in the popular weed killer “Roundup” and is manufactured by U.S. Biotech giant Monsanto. It’s been used for years to destroy coca plants. 

The chemical has now come under question, most recently by the World Health Organization, which said the herbicide likely causes cancer. CCTV America’s Michelle Begue filed this report from Bogota.
