US biz deal-making hits highest levels since 2007

2015 is turning out to be a big year for big deals. Mergers and acquisitions activity is up 48 percent year on year to over $565 billion, the highest level of M and A since 2007. Verizon is buying AOL for $4.4 billion. The move is aimed at advancing Verizon’s growth in mobile video and advertising. and is testimony to how AOL , one of a handful of pre-dotcom veterans, has evolved and survived through the years. Porter Bibb on Verizon-AOL buyout

The Verizon acquisition values AOL at $50 a share, which was a 23 percent premium over the average stock price over the past three months. AOL shares closed at 52.28 today. For more CCTV America’s Michelle Makori was joined by Porter Bibb Managing Partner with Medisa tech capital.
