Raymond Tanter on the Korean protests

World Today

Female activists have taken a controversial step for peace, between the two Koreas. A group of 30 women from more than a dozen countries attempted to march along the Demilitarized Zone dividing the Koreas. Though they were denied permission to walk across the border, they were still allowed to cross by bus. One of the women called this a landmark event. For analysis of the situation, CCTV’s Susan Roberts spoke to Raymond Tanter. He formerly served on the White House National Security Council, and is Professor Emeritus at the University of Michigan.
