Chinese manufacturers exhibit in Australia, draw business

Manufacturers from Huizhou, a city in China, put their goods on display in Australia to increase visibility and business for the city, and China. They are helping to promote the region and renew China’s push toward manufacturing. CCTV’s Greg Navarro filed this report.

Highlights:

  • Huizhou’s deputy mayor, and the vice governor of Guangdong Province drew big crowds inside a Sydney expo center. They helped to focus attention on a rare sight in this country, a collection of 70 manufacturers all from the city of Huizhou.
  • Their arrival on Australian soil follows the announcement of China’s plan to become a world manufacturing power by 2025. Three of China’s technology giants like Desay, TCL Corporation and Adayo were featured prominently.
  • The two-day expo is expected to draw hundreds of Australian businesses who are also looking to forge better economic ties.
