Obama hosted the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the White House. The two leaders also urged Russia to meet what they said were Moscow's commitments in ending the fighting in Ukraine.

  • Russia launched its own exercises this week. Russia’s defense ministry said its surprise inspection of a number of units included some 12 thousand soldiers, and hundreds of aircraft and anti-aircraft missiles.
