Decline in Honeybee population a growing concern

Insight

Since 2006, the number of bees dying in the North America and Europe has nearly tripled from something scientists call “colony collapse disorder.” The surge in colony losses even prompted the U-S government to create a “Pollinator Health Task Force” to help save the honeybee. CCTV’s Hendrik Sybrandy filed this report from the state of Colorado – home to nearly a thousand different bee species.

Other details:
U.S. beekeepers reported losing roughly 40 percent of their honeybee colonies in the year ending in April 2015.
